Are you looking for ISO certification in Perth? Streamline helps Perth and Western Australian businesses certify across the standards that matter: ISO 9001 quality, ISO/IEC 27001 information security, ISO/IEC 42001 AI management, ISO 45001 safety and ISO 14001 environment, as a single standard or one integrated system.
You work directly with an experienced ISO Lead Auditor from the first conversation through to your certification audit, on site and remotely, and your system is built around how your business actually runs.

What is different about certifying in Western Australia
Two things, and both are worth knowing before you start.
WA came to the harmonised work health and safety laws last. The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and its regulations commenced on 31 March 2022, bringing Western Australia into line with New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT, the Northern Territory and the Commonwealth. Victoria remains outside the harmonised scheme. WorkSafe WA is the regulator. If your safety system was written against the old Occupational Safety and Health Act and never properly rebuilt, an ISO 45001 project is where that shows, because the standard asks you to determine your legal requirements and keep them current. A current example: from 1 October 2026, the old WA fall heights of two and three metres no longer apply, and regulation 79 prescribes no height at all, so the risk of a fall has to be managed wherever it exists. Our guide to fall height thresholds sets out what changed.
And the defence work is changing what buyers ask for. The Henderson shipyard south of Perth is the subject of a A$12 billion upgrade and a twenty year plan to make it Australia’s main maintenance hub for nuclear-powered submarines. That flows down. Suppliers who have never been asked for anything beyond a quality certificate are starting to see information security and supply chain assurance in the same tender. Our guide to ISO 19443 and what AUKUS suppliers are asked for sets out what is and is not being required.
Beyond defence, the Perth economy that comes to us is mining and resources, oil and gas, marine and offshore services, construction and civil, and the engineering and fabrication businesses that supply all of them.
One practical note on the time difference. We are on the east coast, so the two hour gap in winter and three in summer is real. In practice it works in your favour: a morning here is an early morning there, and we schedule workshops and audits to your clock rather than ours.
ISO 9001 certification in Perth
ISO 9001 is the quality management standard, and for most Perth businesses it arrives through a tender or a client requirement rather than by choice. A certified quality system gives you documented control of how work is won, planned, delivered and checked, and an independent audit that says it works.
Most small to medium Australian businesses invest $7,000 to $25,000 in the first year over a project of three to six months. Our ISO 9001 certification cost guide breaks that down.
ISO 27001 certification in Perth
ISO/IEC 27001 is the information security standard, and in Western Australia it is arriving from two directions at once: resources clients asking about operational technology and remote site connectivity, and defence supply chains asking about everything.
The work is a risk assessment, a Statement of Applicability, the Annex A controls your risks justify, and evidence that those controls run. Expect $15,000 to $30,000 in the first year. See the ISO 27001 cost guide and our explainer on the Annex A controls.
ISO 45001 certification in Perth
ISO 45001 is the work health and safety management standard. In WA it sits on top of the WHS Act 2020, and the gap most often found is that the legal register still cites the superseded legislation.
The other gap is psychosocial hazards. Australian WHS regulations require duty holders to manage them, ISO 45001:2018 does not name them explicitly, and a system built only to the standard can leave you holding a valid certificate and still short of your obligation. We put them in the risk register from the start. See ISO 45001 certification cost and our guide to psychosocial hazards.
ISO 14001 certification in Perth
ISO 14001 is the environmental management standard, and in a resources and marine economy the environmental aspects are rarely trivial: water, waste, contaminated ground, air quality, noise, and the conditions attached to your own licences.
Note the edition. ISO 14001:2026 was published on 15 April 2026 and the transition runs to 30 April 2029. If you are certifying now, certify against the current edition rather than transitioning twice. See the ISO 14001:2026 transition.
ISO 42001 certification in Perth
ISO/IEC 42001 is the AI management system standard, and it is the one clients are starting to ask about before they can define what they are asking for. If you are using AI in operations, in scheduling, in inspection or in anything customer-facing, this is the framework that shows you govern it.
It shares its structure with ISO 27001, so if you hold that already, the cost roughly halves. See the ISO 42001 cost guide and how 42001 and 27001 fit together.
How much does ISO certification cost in Perth?
There are two separate bills and it helps to see them apart: consultant support to build the system, and the certification body’s own fee for the two stage audit, which they set on your size, scope and number of sites.
Certifying more than one standard together costs considerably less than doing them separately. The management system clauses are shared, so a standard built as part of an integrated management system generally runs 50% to 75% of its standalone cost, and the more you build at once, the further toward the lower end that goes.
Government funding
Grants may be available to offset certification cost. Funding usually comes through broader programs covering business capability, cyber security and digital uplift, export readiness or industry modernisation, where certification counts as eligible expenditure. Our guide shows how to search the free business.gov.au Grants and Programs Finder: government grants and funding for ISO certification.
How Streamline helps Perth businesses
Three ways, and the right one depends on what you have.
- We build it. End to end management system development, standalone or integrated.
- You build it, we mentor. ISO mentoring coaches your team through the build so the knowledge stays with you, and we provide the independent internal audit under clause 9.2 where your team lacks the capacity or the impartiality to run it internally.
- You have built it, we check it. A gap analysis tells you where it will fail before a certification body finds it.
