How it runs through the year

• The internal audit programme spread across the year, so every clause and process is covered before your surveillance audit, carried out objectively and impartially.
• The management review prepared and facilitated at least once a year.
• The corrective action and improvement register reviewed at every check-in, so nothing is still open when the auditor arrives.
• Surveillance and recertification preparation in the weeks before each certification body visit.

What we need from you

• A named contact with the authority to make decisions about the system.
• Access to the documents, records and systems the management system relies on.
• Time from process owners for internal audits and for the actions that belong to them.
• Top management involvement. The standards make leadership accountable for the policy, objectives and resources, and that cannot be outsourced.

What it does not include

• Certification body fees, which you pay to your certification body directly.
• Day-to-day operational work, such as running your inspections or closing actions that sit with your own process owners.
• Legal advice.
